I was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa but moved to Nixa, Missouri when I was 5.
I married my high school sweetheart and we are the proud parents of our two beautiful girls Brooklyn and Sydney. We also have two crazy dogs named Dixie and Macie. They all have made me who I am today.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT PHYSIQUE FITNESS?
What is not to love about Physique? The ladies and gents have been absolutely amazing at welcoming me into their “family” with open arms. As a fitness studio, I think Physique Fitness offers something that you can’t find anywhere else. The instructors know the clients- not just their names, but on a more personal level. You won’t get that at a gym. All the instructors are truly talented, wonderful people and they honestly care. Plus, who doesn’t love having a good laugh while getting in a great workout at the same time??
I love sushi, red wine and chocolate. A guilty pleasure of mine is a tall, cold beer on a hot summer day.
FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST:
I love all different types of music... anywhere from Boston, Quiet Riot, Bad Company (haha, my dad would be so proud!) to Ray LaMontagne, Penny & Sparrow, Rihanna, and Eminem... the list could go on forever. I definitely pick out music based on my mood at that particular time.
I really do love all four seasons. Every time I am getting tired of the current season, it is about time for the next one, so it works out perfectly. But, if I had to choose one, it would have to be fall. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and who doesn’t love a pair of leggings, Uggs and an over sized sweater?
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO TEACH FITNESS?
Fitness has always been a part of my life, but I really got into it a few years back. Fitness is obviously for your physical health but it is also a huge part of your mental health as well, which is just as important. When I saw what a little fitness time could do for a person mentally, I was hooked. When I workout, it is one hour that I get for me, and when you're a mom to two young ones, that time becomes very important. I want to be a part of that one hour a day when you are doing something good for you.
