Hi all, I am Jessica. I was born and raised in Springfield, MO. I have had a passion for sports and dance from early on. I played a lot of sports growing up. As I grew, gymnastics became my life. I was a competitive gymnast through my high school years and it honestly shaped me into the person I am today. Old habits are hard to break and I think that is why I am so drawn to Physique Fitness.

I am married to my husband Ross and we have two kids. After graduating high school, I went to college in Arizona. After college I moved back home. Fast forward a few years to jobs, marriage and babies!

When my kids were getting a little older, an opportunity kind of just fell into my lap to become a fitness instructor. It honestly had never crossed my mind that this might be a path for me. But after some thought I decided that I would at least do the training and give it a go. If it didn't work out that was fine; I had nothing to lose right?!

Well here we are about five years later and I am still learning, still teaching and still loving it. I feel oddly comfortable in front of a class which makes me think I am probably right where I should be.

I'm really not sure how to put into words what Physique Fitness, the studio, the staff and the clients mean to me. We are a full blown family here. You don't realize it at the time, but days after days, months into years these people become your fitness family. You get to know their lives, their children, their gains, their losses.

If I had to say my favorite part about teaching... it would have to be how much the clients inspire me. At any point in time, I can look around a class and sometimes I become overwhelmed. We have new moms bringing in their babies and working out for the first time since giving birth. We have people fighting cancer that are going thru treatment and somehow they gained enough energy to come and spend it here with us. We have college students, soon to be new grandmas. We have people that work 60 hours a week and they tell us Physique is the best part of their day. Everyone has a different story walking in the doors, from all walks of life, but when you are at Physique we are one family and you are allowed to just be.

When I see someone leave a class with a little more pep in their step, their head held a bit higher on the way out than on the way in, I know I have done my job. We are all trying to be the best versions of ourselves, bit by bit, day by day, and in every aspect of our lives. Taking care of yourself first lets you take care of everything else in your life, hopefully, with a little more grace.

We cant wait to have you!
